Discretionary Options for Military Members
The government provides some exclusive immigration benefits for military members, enlistees, and their families. Some of these benefits can be extraordinarily beneficial.
For instance, military parole in place can solve your lack of a valid entry into the United States. Did you or your loved one enter the United States without inspection (i.e., EWI)? Certain family members of active-duty members of the U.S. armed forces, individuals in the selected reserve of the ready reserve, or individuals who previously served on active duty or in the selected reserve of the ready reserve are eligible for parole.
Other programs exist for current and former military service members who are outside of the United States. There is also a method of obtaining deferred action.
If you are a U.S. citizen, joining the U.S. armed forces or reserves may allow you to help your family members obtain lawful status. If you are interested in learning more, contact us.
