Today, the United States Senate held a hearing to propose that the House of Representatives advance articles of impeachment against federal judges such as Chief U.S. District Judge James Boasberg and U.S. District Judge Deborah Boardman.
Interestingly, Boasberg was the chief judge of the Alien Terrorist Removal Court from January 1, 2020 to January 1, 2025. The current chief judge of the Court is U.S. District Judge Joan N. Ericksen.

As of writing, the Alien Terrorist Removal Court (ATRC) remains a paper tiger as the United States has deposed of alien removal cases in other ways such as through regular removal proceedings, expedited removal proceedings, etc. To date, as far as is known, the Attorney General has never sent an application to the Court. 8 U.S.C. § 1533(a). Thus, the Court has never conducted proceedings.
Yet, the existence of the ATRC in law at 8 U.S.C. § 1532 means that it could be vivified and used as another deportation vehicle, sans much due process, in the future.
