Will you be going to your hearing or interview soon? After a long wait, you will finally have your chance to prove your case and obtain whatever benefit you have been seeking. Don't ruin your case! While you are at any government facility, assume you are being watched, listened to, and that your communication device is likewise being interfered with.
What does this mean? First, keep conversations about your case details to a minimum. Crowded waiting rooms are full of other people who might be listening. You can't be sure that someone in the waiting room is an undercover officer. Besides, why do you want others knowing the details of your case.
Assume that you are being monitored at all times in any location in any government building. That may sound extreme, but better safe than sorry. Want to express how you feel about an officer, wait until after you are outside and in your vehicle.
Unless you need your phone or computer, keep those items in your car or at home. Stingrays, devices that simulate cell phone towers, are being used by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. Better to not risk having your personal information being intercepted without your consent and knowledge. Remember the World War II expression, lose lips sink ships.
